Location: The Arctic Ocean
I said goodbye to Wally Walrus and my penguin friends and set out to sea. I
didn’t know which way I should go, but I followed my nose. I knew
somehow I would get to Claire – even if I had to swim a million
miles!
I swam.... and swam.... and swam...
When I got hungry I caught a fish to eat or nibbled on some kelp. After a few days all I
could see was the heaving ocean around me. It seemed to stretch forever. I was getting
a bit tired when I spotted a rock sticking out of the water, ahead of me. Hurrah! I could
rest there for a while and have a nap. Within minutes of climbing onto it, I fell fast
asleep! I’d NEVER have done that if I’d known what was going to happen next!
