Thank you Claire for such a brilliant
school zoom visit to our Reception and Year
one children at St Katherine’s C of E school,
Canvey Island, Essex!! It exceeded all
expectation and the children were thoroughly
engaged throughout! It was lovely that you
could relate to them on their level
particularly during the question and answering
session. The children felt confident to ask
questions and you answered them so
appropriately and sensitively! We were
impressed when a child asked if your books
were written in other languages and you were
able to produce an example to show them! Our
children were inspired by Mr Cuddles and
enjoyed the interaction with him! We
thoroughly recommend Claire’s virtual visit it
was amazing!!
Thanks Claire once again for that memorable
visit it was truly a special time to look back
on!

A very big thank you for your input today and
for accommodating us. I was with the P1
(reception) children after the call and when
we hung up, one of the little girls said “That
wasn’t good, it was awesome! I really like her”.

Hi Claire,
I just wanted to say a massive thank you for
that session, it was brilliant the students are
all inspired and are wasting no time at all!
They are currently sat in a session now
working on the 'what if' scenario that you
suggested.
It was very interesting to hear all about the
book writing process, I even found it
fascinating as an adult and the students were
also star struck when you mentioned their
names for the questions, the whole session
was lovely to be involved in.

Hi Claire,
Thank you so much for visiting our
classes, when I spoke to some of the children
they were so excited that they had actually
met a real life author. Some of them couldn't
believe that they had some of your books at
home! The teachers really enjoyed it as well
and it's given them a chance to discuss with
the children about writing for an audience.

Please can you pass on to Claire how enjoyable
her virtual visit was with us! The children at
St. Christopher's have been so inspired that
they have been writing, drawing and acting
out their own versions of 'Underpants'
stories. Claire was a natural with the children
and very kind with her comments and replies
to the children - They all wanted to speak to
her!!! It particularly made us feel proud that
we provided her with a question that she had
never been asked before! It was a joy to have

Hi Claire,
Thank you so much for Zooming into AC
Houghton on December 16th. We thoroughly
enjoyed the visit and the students were so
excited to be the first group of kids you had
completed an online author visit with in the
USA.
The visit capped off our entire school reading
Little Bear's Special Friend. Actually meeting
Claire Freedman via Zoom was the highlight of
our all school book club. Claire read a book to
our school and answered questions from
students! One of our classes wrote letters to
you and those are attached.
