Welcome to my website!

I am now available for virtual school visits via Zoom.

Ever wanted to chat to a children’s author? Here’s your chance!

I’ll endeavour to make your virtual visit as fun, enjoyable and informative as possible.  You’ll be able to take a peak at my office where I write, whilst I read you some of my stories. You’ll have the chance to ask me any questions you like – about me, my books and my writing and how I became an author.

I’m so excited about books and reading, and will hopefully inspire you to fall in love with books too!

For more information on booking, times and charges, please contact me via email: claire.freedman202@btinternet.com

I look forward to hearing from you.

My latest book, publishing in Spring 2020, is Tiny Ant. It’s a funny tale about finding your voice and full of zany characters.

Meanwhile I’ve been working on a re-write for younger children of the wonderful classic, The Secret Garden (originally written by Frances Hodgson Burnett).  This is a fab picture book rendition illustrated by the fantastically talented Shaw Davidson. I so enjoyed writing it as it has always been one of my favourite books.

For all those people who have written in to me and not had a reply- my website has not been forwarding your comments to me and so I’ve not seen them to reply. Thank you all so much for contacting me.

For those of you asking about a sequel to Monstersaurus, I’m afraid my publisher didn’t want another adventure for Monty. Maybe you can have fun imagining your own adventures for him.

I am going to have to overhaul my website as it’s still not working properly.

Lots of love to you all
Claire x

Hello Nicola

Thank you for writing to me about a sequel for Monstersaurus. I’m so glad your son enjoys my book. I’m sorry to say that no sequel is forthcoming, though I’d love to write more adventures for Monty and Monstersaurus. I shall have to badger my publisher!

Thanks again for contacting me!

Hello happy readers. I have two new books I’m excited to tell you about.

Teeny-Weeny Queenie is about a girl who wants to be Queen when she grows up. It’s great for girls as it’s pretty and pink and beautifully illustrated by the very talented Ali Pye.

The second book is called My Grandparents Love Me, beautifully illustrated by the very clever Judi Abbott.  It’s a lovely book to snuggle up and read with your grandparents or grandchildren. As the book says – there is love on every page.

I hope you enjoy these new books!

Bye for now
